Mourinho's Top 10 Historic Quotes
Chelsea manager Jose Mourhinho is undoubtedly
one of the most extraordinary and at the same time controversial
figures in the history of modern football.
The man of a strong character and settled views, Mourinho seems to never regret his statements. Those most widely discussed usually come after the loss of Mourinho’s team.
There is currently another scandal involving the Blues boss. After the defeat to Southampton the Portuguese blamed the referees saying:
“The referees are afraid to give decisions for Chelsea. At 1-1, it is a huge penalty and once again we don’t get. If the FA wants to punish me they can. They don’t punish other managers. My players deserve it and the fans deserve it.”
Naij.com recalls Mourinho’s quotes that has already made history.
1. About own personality
“Please don’t call me arrogant, but I’m European champion and I think I’m a special one.”
2. About self, again
“I am Jose Mourinho and I don’t change. I arrive with all my qualities and my defects.”
3. About his professional skills
“It is a crucial moment in the history of this club because if they sack me they sack the best manager this club has ever had.”
4. About players
“I am no longer Chelsea coach and I do not have to defend them any more, so I think it is correct if I say Drogba is a diver.”
5. About his manner of coaching (about Chelsea players)
“They have to enjoy playing for me and Chelsea but they don’t have to be in love with me.”
6. Screaming at Barcelona’s Lionel Messi
“How do you say cheating in Catalan?”
7. Insulting Arsene Wenger
“He is a specialist in failure. I’m not.”
8. Seriously, don’t mess with Mourinho. He knows how to verbally hurt people
“Ricardo Carvalho seems to have problems understanding things, maybe he should have an IQ test.”
9. Accusing Suarez of diving
“Now he’s doing an acrobatic swimming pool jump to try to get the penalty.”
10. And a nice once, about game
“Football is a game about feelings and intelligence.”

Mourinho had said that the club were “always punished” by officials because “there is always a question mark” from the media.
“The penalty in this game is more than crucial because my team, at the moment, the first negative thing that happens… they collapse.
“After that the team lost even more confidence. Mentally, psychologically, the team is unbelievably down.
“If the Football Association wants to punish me they can. They don’t punish other managers.”
Mourinho has until October 8, to respond to the charge.
Following his recent travails, he also dared the club’s hierarchy to sack him with the reminder that he is the best manager the team has ever had.

Capello said: “Mourinho burns out his players after a year and a half, at most two years.
“I had already heard it when he was in Madrid and now we have confirmation in London.
“It is true that Chelsea are paying for some of their absences – like [Thibaut] Courtois – but there have also been tactical errors from the coach, who this year is not preparing for matches very well.”
Chelsea have been poor so far in this campaign and sit 16th, having lost more top-flight matches already this term than they did in the whole of 2014-15.

I Actually Wanted To Be A Lawyer But It Did Not Work Out – Actress Queen Nwokoye
Actress Queen Nwokoye has revealed the secrets behind her
good looks. She also talked about her background, initial dreams of
becoming a lawyer as well as her take on nudity in Nollywood.
The 34-year-old actress who spoke exclusively to This Day said she
was born into a devoted Catholic family. And though a graduate of
Sociology and Anthropology, she said her initial dream was to become a
lawyer before things went otherwise.

“I was born and bred for a while in Lagos but I am from Anambra State.
“I grew up in a family of seven and I had a good upbringing. My parents are staunch Catholics. I attended Queens School, Enugu and studied Sociology and Anthropology at Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. I actually wanted to be a lawyer but it did not work out,” she said in the interview.
Nwokoye got into the movie industry after her National Youth Service.
She had plans to go for a second degree but got involved with Nollywood
in the course of her wait.
“While I waited for the pursuit [of a second degree in Law], I was attending auditions and I developed passion for movies,” she said.
She recounts the initial feeling of shyness when she first started but in time she gained confidence and grew into the roles.
Speaking of the industry and growth potentials, the actress said all Nollywood really needs is ‘funding and the right structures’.
She also touched on the need for viable distribution systems that ensure producers and stakeholders rip the dividends of their investments in the industry.
“I think we are not doing badly at all except that we need funding and the right structures including distribution structures so that we can sell movies and so that our producers will have enough to make more movies and that way, we can earn more money as practitioners,” she said.
The screen star also talked about the all-too-obvious problem of piracy and the need to curb it for the betterment of Nollywood.
She hopes to get more in terms of her pay package from acting considering the amount of work she puts in. She blames the fact of practitioners not getting enough reward for their efforts on piracy and inadequate distribution channels among other things.
According to her, she got full support from her parents upon starting as an actress after which she vowed to uphold the family’s good name.
On her good looks, she said: “I just exercise once in a while. I
really don’t have enough time for myself because of my work schedule.
But I have been trying to create time because one has to take care of
self to be able to remain in business.”
Regardless of her appealing look she dismissed the possibilities of playing nude roles in movies. Though not against it she said she will not interpret any role that has anything to do with obscenity.

I Am Not A Role Model -Loose Kaynon
Chocolate City rapper, Loose Kaynon, has
maintained that he is a regular guy, as opposed to insinuations by some
that he is a role model. In an exclusive chat with Naij.com, he talked about his art, as well as his slightly bohemian nature.
The bearded rapper believes the hip hop scene in Nigeria has promising features and chances of achieving greater heights.
He said: “The art is growing and I don’t feel the need to rush things. But as for international collaborations, I think I’ll like one with Lauryn Hill.”
The rapper, born Joakin Ikazoboh, said he didn’t feel the urge to hide any part of himself in his music but speaks his mind regardless of who gets hurt.
“I’m a regular guy, basically. I am not a role model. I’m just a guy who’s got a mic in front of him. I try to be as honest as possible on my records… but then again the fact that songs are censored today doesn’t mean they won’t get out. Because that it’s not on terrestrial TV doesn’t mean they won’t find it. I try to be me, to do the best I can to touch key areas with my fans. But above all, I try to leave a message when I can.”
On comparisons with Rick Ross, he smiled: “I dunno. I guess it’s just cuz of the beards thing.”
